SO, i watched this one youtube video about how ppl just throw in their brushes and makeup into one little compact makeup bag. i was really intrigued cuz she didn't state why this bothers her so i kept on watching. She stated it like this - you're using your face brush, leave it on counter, maybe washroom counter, maybe PUBLIC washroom counter, rolls off counter, hits floor, maybe PUBLIC WASHROOM floor, you pick it up, blush blush face face and before you know it you break out. REASON? nasty. you've just literally sweeped the floor with that brush and packing all that sh*t onto your face. just think about of allll the godam bacteria in your washroom, and then think about the endless possibilities of a PUBLIC washroom. GROOSSSSS.
I, for one am really into cleanliness. I clean my brushes after every makeup application. I'll clean them as soon as I get home from a show or with clients. I don't believe in sponges unless they'll be for ONE time use, I am really into Q-tips and disposable mascara wands. and oH unless it's ON ME, i don't use my fingers, hands, or arms. LOL. so when I watched that clip, I never really THOUGHT about all the bacteria and stuff cuz i don't carry makeup in a bag for touchups. and i'm pretty sanitary when it comes to makeup. never really broke out by makeup either. lucky me! :oP But I do notice a lot of ppl who do and her advice for using RETRACTABLE brushes was a really good idea if they're just for touchups. Actually it's an AMAZING IDEA LOL. Think of all the dirt/dust and germs and bacteria inside that makeup bag, the counters and omg WASHROOM FLOORS. if you threw in a covered retractable brush, it'll be protected from germs and you'll be CLEAN and breakout free or at least your break out reasons wouldn't be from your makeup application... lol
just a small tip :)
